I went to see a client today. She had a Novell network card in her computer. It looks like she picked it up at a yard sale. It turns out that the drivers are IPX only! Swapped it out with an old 3com card (remember them?) and she can connect to the Internet just fine. That Comcast modem is not Comcastic, its "limping along castic". I connected my Macbook pro and I could get 1.5 MB throughput. Wow, bring on the commercials with the turtles. I called their tech support and got no one who could spell computer. I asked for a supervisor and they put me on hold (forever).
People, friends don't let friends get Comcast.

I dunno! I'm getting 16Mb downloads with comcast. I'm willing to put up with terrible customer service for Speeeeed! Maybe you were trying to use an old Token Ring Card? ;)
